The Westhoff Legacy: Rooted in 1974
The story of Westhoff Farm LLC began in 1974 when Don Westhoff, alongside his wife Kathy, made the bold move to Kirksville. Having grown up working his own family’s farm, Don brought a lifetime of agricultural wisdom and a deep-seated work ethic to Adair County. What started as a new chapter for Don and Kathy became the foundation of the Westhoff Farm legacy—a legacy that has now thrived for over half a century.
Today, Westhoff Farm is a true multi-generational operation, blending time-honored tradition with modern agricultural strategy.
The Foundation: Don and Kathy remain the heart of the farm, providing the experience and values that guide everything we do. While passing this history and tradition down thru their six children.
The Bridge: As the oldest daughter, Dawn carries the torch forward, managing the daily operations, our AKC GSP program, and our in person sweet corn sales all Summer at Sherwin-Williams paint store parking lot.
The Strategy: Dawn’s husband, Garrett, serves as our resident shepherd and the strategic mind behind the business. From managing our Katahdin genetics to fine-tuning our business plan, Garrett ensures the Westhoff name remains a leader in quality livestock.
The Connection: The third generation is represented by Maddie, our "Social Media Queen." Maddie is the voice you hear online, using her digital savvy to connect our farm’s story with our customers and neighbors across Missouri.
At Westhoff Farm, we aren’t just raising animals or growing sweet corn; we are preserving a way of life. From the foundation Don built in 1974 to the digital connections Maddie makes today, we invite you to be a part of our family’s journey.
